What Can Bodywork Do for Me?

All forms of bodywork help the body remove toxins, deliver nutrients to the tissue and cells more efficiently and speed recovery from strains and trauma while improving circulation. Bodywork stimulates endorphins, relieves pain and induces the relaxation response. It strengthens the immune system and stimulates the body's own healing ability. Massage improves range of motion and overall mobility. Bodywork creates balance, harmony and peace on all levels of body, mind and spirit.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of acupressure that literally means finger pressure. It utilizes various acupressure points that are located along energy pathways called meridians. The idea is to move the chi through the meridians to create balance and harmony without the use of needles. The principles of shiatsu have their roots in traditional Chinese medicine which is 5000 years old.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing and balancing in which the therapists hands are used as energy conduits to transfer universal healing energy to the body mind and spirit. The energy known as "ki" can be used for self healing and distance healing or in combination with visualization for a particularly powerful effect.

Barefoot Shiatsu

Barefoot Shiatsu is similar to regular shiatsu except that it is often done on a futon on the floor using the feet. It is a strong compression treatment and is based on the same traditions as shiatsu.

Swedish

Swedish massage involves working the soft tissues by means of a variety of strokes such as: effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotment and vibration. The strokes are applied by hand using a lubricating lotion.

Combo

People often enjoy a combination of the various modalities. For example, a person may choose a Reiki session in addition to a flower essence consult or Swedish massage and Reiki. The therapist can kelp with that decision.

Hot Rock Therapy

Ancient tribes and shamans used cold and heated stones to boost the immune system and accelerate healing. Hot rock therapy utilizes the application of warm basalt stones that have been lubricated and caressed with warm scented oil. It's like being held by Mother Earth.

Chakra Stones

Chakra stones can be thought of as healing tools or an extension of the therapist. Semi-precious stones are placed in a pattern on the body, clearing the energy field and balancing the chakras.

Therapeutic Touch

Therapeutic touch is another energetic modality that brings in universal healing energy to jump-start self healing.

Flower Essence Consultation

The flower essences work on a vibrational level to clear emotional imbalances and soul issues. A customized formulation is created for the individual and is included with the consultation.

On-Site Massage

The therapist works on the client who is seated on a specially designed massage chair. This is a shorter session designed to relax yet energize and usually lasts 10 to 30 minutes. Seated massage works well in a variety of different group settings from corporate or workplace to spa parties.

Acupressure Facial

The acupressure facial enhances the skins natural beauty by increasing the flow of ki. This revitalizes the skin and refreshes the entire body. The main focus is on the head, neck, face, jaw and shoulders.

Akashic Record

The akashic record is a vibrational record of every person's soul and its journey. The records contain all the past, present and future possibilities, and can be accessed by using a specific process involving dialogue.
